Refund & Returns Policy.

This Refund & Returns Policy sets out your rights when purchasing from Leslie Robinson Studio ("we", "us"). It applies to original artworks purchased directly from the studio and to limited edition prints fulfilled on our behalf by our print partner, Love to Frame. This policy is written to reflect UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
1. Overview
We want you to be delighted with your artwork. If something isn't right, please contact us within the timeframes below and we will work with you to resolve it. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
2. Your Right to Cancel (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you are a UK consumer buying at a distance (for example, through this website), you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
To exercise this right, please email us at leslierob10@gmail.com with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You then have a further 14 days to return the item to us in its original condition and packaging.
Once we receive the returned artwork and have inspected it, we will refund the price paid, including standard outbound delivery, within 14 days. Return postage and insurance costs are the buyer's responsibility, unless the item is faulty or was described incorrectly.
3. Original Artworks
Original paintings and pastels are one-of-a-kind, hand-finished works. Small variations in colour, surface texture and finish are part of their character and are not considered defects.
- Originals are shipped fully insured. Please inspect the packaging on arrival and, wherever possible, photograph it before opening.
- If you wish to return an original under the 14-day cancellation right, it must be repackaged in its original materials, unmarked and unframed by any third party, and returned by a fully tracked and insured courier.
- Bespoke or commissioned works (including portrait commissions) are made to your specification and are excluded from the 14-day right of cancellation once work has begun, in line with regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Separate commission terms will be agreed in writing before work starts.
4. Limited Edition Prints (fulfilled by Love to Frame)
Limited edition prints are printed, framed and dispatched on our behalf by our fulfilment partner, Love to Frame. Each print is made to order for you.
- Because prints are produced to order, they are treated as personalised / made-to-measure goods under regulation 28(1)(b). The 14-day cancellation right does not apply once production has begun, except where the item arrives damaged, faulty or not as described.
- Orders can normally be cancelled at no cost within [insert cancellation window — e.g. 24 hours] of purchase, provided production has not yet started. Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel.
- Estimated production and delivery times are shown at checkout. These are estimates provided by Love to Frame and may vary during busy periods.
5. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, all items must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or is not what you ordered:
- Please contact us at leslierob10@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery, including your order number and clear photographs of the item and its packaging.
- For prints fulfilled by Love to Frame, we will liaise directly with them on your behalf to arrange a replacement, repair or refund. You do not need to contact Love to Frame yourself.
- Where an item is confirmed damaged or faulty, we will cover any return postage costs and offer, at your choice, a replacement, a repair (where practical), or a full refund.
6. Items Not Eligible for Return
Except where an item is faulty or not as described, we cannot accept returns of:
- Commissioned or bespoke artworks once work has begun.
- Limited edition prints once production has started.
- Items that have been damaged after delivery through misuse, accidental damage, unsuitable framing or improper storage.
- Gift cards or downloadable digital products (where applicable).
7. How Refunds Are Issued
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of us receiving the returned item (for cancellations) or of confirming the fault (for damaged or defective items). Depending on your bank or card provider, the refund may take a few additional working days to appear on your statement.
8. Delivery Outside the UK
For international orders, buyers are responsible for any import duties, taxes or customs charges levied by the destination country. If an international order is refused at customs or returned to us as undelivered, we will refund the price of the item less outbound shipping and any non-refundable duties.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, our fulfilment arrangements, or how we operate the studio. The version published on this page at the time of your order applies to that order.
